Lorena's Daughters are Home!

Lorena is a mom to two beautiful daughters. But several years ago, Lorena’s world was turned upside down when her younger sister, who is a teenager, was watching Lorena’s daughters. She took them out of the house, and while they were out, the police picked them up for being without an adult, and from there, they were taken to the child protection office and quickly placed in an orphanage. When Lorena found out, she rushed to the police station to find out what had happened; they told her that they had been taken away. Lorena spent every day for the next three weeks at the child protection office, begging to get her daughters back. But at the time, there weren’t enough lawyers to get to her daughters' cases. They had been placed in an orphanage, and they wouldn’t get to her daughters' cases until they had enough personnel.

Lorena loves her daughters and did everything in her power to get them home, but she met a limited-resourced child protection office and there wasn’t anything more she could do.

Our team in the child protection office was assigned her daughter's case, and thankfully, over the last few months, they have been able to work with Lorena and carry out the legal process to get her daughter back home. The girls are so happy to be home with their mom.
