Maria Stepped In For Her Grandkids
Abigail and Mario were taken away from their parents' custody and placed in an orphanage several years ago. Their grandmother, Maria, had already assumed the custody of her youngest granddaughter, Abigail, and Mario’s little sister.
Maria tried to get her grandkids home multiple times in the past. But, because the child protective services staff has historically been saturated with work, there was never a team available to complete the evaluations needed to proceed with the legal process until our team was assigned their case files. A few months ago, their case file was passed to the Embraced International team in the child welfare office, and they were able to complete all of the evaluations, supervised visits, and legal work needed in order to make a way for Abigail and Mario to get back to their family.
Your support provided them with the bedroom furniture they needed to return home with their grandma! Thanks to your support, Abigail and Mario will get to spend the rest of their childhood surrounded by the love of their family.
At Embraced, we believe that no one else will walk through all of life with you like family will.
Families, as complex and complicated as they can sometimes be, are each of our lifelong lifelines and support. That’s why investing in safe and loving families, so that their kids can be reunited with them, is the best investment that we can make in a kid’s life.
